A building materials store with 1,000+ products: a catalog with nested categories and filters, SEO optimisation and a checkout with delivery options.
The client came with a clear goal: a website that sells building materials.
The store needed a large catalog of more than 1,000 products where shoppers quickly find what they need and the pages show up well in search.
The solution
I built a WooCommerce store: a catalog with nested categories and filters and a checkout with delivery options. I also handled SEO optimisation and wrote the page texts.
- A catalog of 1,000+ products: nested categories: paints and varnishes, insulation, building mixes, wall materials, primers, fasteners, building chemicals, drywall systems.
- Filters: by brand, volume, weight and price, plus a choice of how many products to show per page.
- Product page: weight and volume variations, a sale price with a “Sale” label, comparison, a wishlist, contacts and wholesale price terms.
- Unit pricing: per m³, bag, litre.
- SEO optimisation: meta tags, clean URLs and SEO texts for category pages with H2 and H3 headings.
- Checkout: pickup in Lutsk, Nova Poshta, delivery within Lutsk and Volyn region; a “Request a call” form.
- Blog: news and promotions from manufacturers.
- Nested categories
- Filters by brand, volume and weight
- SEO texts on category pages
- Unit pricing (m³, bag, litre)
The store runs with a catalog of 1,000+ products that shoppers can filter by brand, volume and weight, while search engines see a separate page with its own text for every category.
